The National Hospital Kandy (NH Kandy) is the second largest Hospital in the country with a bed strength of 2741 and is the major tertiary care unit in the Central Province. The hospital also caters the adjoining provinces such as Sabaragamuwa, Northern, Eastern, North Central and North Western. Central Province is the center of the country surrounded by nearby 5 provinces making NH Kandy the apex center for clinical care for 2/3 of the country. Moreover, National Hospital Kandy is the largest tertiary care hospital with all the subspecialties under one roof in Sri Lanka.
